Oregon Coast Aquarium Presents Many Events
Various Times - See Details
November 28. Sea Otter Encounter. Learn about the sea otter’s many adaptations. Go behind the scenes and meet a mammalogist to learn about animal care and feeding as you watch sea otters up close. Make reservations in advance. Ages 8 and up $30 members, $35 nonmembers.
November 29. Sea Lion Encounter. Learn about the Aquarium’s pinnipeds, get a sea lion kiss from Lea and explore behind the scenes at the aquarium. Make reservations in advance. Ages 8 and up $40 nonmembers, $35 members.
December 5 - 6. Sea of Lights. Ring in the holidays as the Aquarium becomes a winter wonderland surrounded by thousands of twinkling lights. Festive caroling, a Christmas village and a visit with Saint Nick and photos by the big Christmas tree in the lobby. Hot chocolate and holiday treats. Many gift ideas in the Aquarium gift shop. Admission: Aquarium members free; non members free with donation of a new, unwrapped toy or 2 items of non-perishable food items for Lincoln County Food Share or pet food for Lincoln County Animal Shelter. Without donation; adults $2, kids $1. All ages. 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
December 26 - January 1: December Whale Watch Week talks, M.M. labs, films, storytelling. Hatfield Marine Science Center, 2030 Marine Science Dr., Newport, Oregon. Admission by suggested donation. 541-867-0100. http://hmsc.oregonstate.edu
